House 7: The Preston-Carrs. Week 2-4

When Hope and Grace Preston moved out of the house they'd been sharing with Verity and Byron (see House 4) they found a new home with Joe Carr. With his money added to Hope's, they managed to build a pretty nice house. Joe admitted to Hope that he was a criminal mastermind, but she was too much in love to care. The two of them were married right away, and shortly after their return from the honeymoon, Hope began to
suffer from morning sickness. Daniel was born, and not much later followed Milton - born the day Daniel became a child. They both looked very much like their father, but with their mother's green eyes. Both parents doted on the boys, as did big sister Grace.

Joe had seriously considered leaving the world of crime, now that he had a family to think about, but kept putting it off, thinking that they needed the money. When Hope was pregnant with Milton, he had a run-in with a superhero-wannabe, and fortunately came out the winner - which netted him a very handy 55 000 simoleons. A few days later, history repeated itself, and once again Joe came out on top. Now that he had fulfilled his lifelong goal of earning 100 000 simoleons, he decided not to push his luck any longer, and quit his job in favor of athletics. Besides, Daniel was about to start school, and he didn't want his son to be teased about having a criminal for a father.

Grace did very well in school, as well as in her part-time job. There was that one incident when she
snuck out at night and was busted by the cops... But never mind that. She left for college, happily planning for her future with Mark Lawrence. Hope followed Joe's example and left her job in politics to join the military instead, an old dream of hers.

Daniel and Milton were very nice, active young boys, good students, and compared to the other children of Prosperity, they grew up in luxury. Daniel became a fortune sim, while Milton's choice was romance.

Joe - fulfilled impossible and LTW, earn 100 000.

House 6: The Johnson family. Week 1-4

The Johnson family consisted of Michael, male elder popularity sim; Paul, male adult, knowledge; Carol, female adult, romance; Alison, female teen, knowledge; Henry, male child, and Colin, male toddler.

This upper-middle-class family had fallen on hard times due to some bad financial decisions, and decided to move to Prosperity to start fresh. Paul joined the military, and Carol got a job as a security guard, while Michael took care of the children. Unfortunately, Carol was fired on her very first night at work, after calling the police in to arrest what turned out to be one of her employers. She came home in tears, and Paul did his best to comfort her.

She got a new job, this time in business, but soon found out that she was pregnant. Talk about a bad time to bring another child into the world, when they could barely feed the three they already had! However, Paul continued to move up in the military, and once little Matthew was born, Carol concentrated on her career as well, leaving the care of the baby mostly to her father-in-law.

Knowledge sim that she was, Alison focused completely on school and studying, having little time to spare for her brothers. Henry and Colin, however, both very outgoing children, were close friends - and considering that they looked very much alike, and frequently wore the same clothes, it was next to impossible to tell them apart. You could almost mistake them for identical twins, except that was Henry was a little paler; perhaps because he had grown into a knowledge teen, and spent a lot of time poring over books, while Colin was a popularity sim.

Matthew was almost as outgoing as his brothers, and soon made fast friends with Mackenzie Darnell. After he grew up into a popularity teen, they began to date, although they never reached the point of going steady.

Grandpa Michael kept nagging for another grandchild, now that all his little ones were growing up, and more or less by accident, his wish came true; Eric was born shortly before Alison left for college. She was followed by first Henry, then Colin.

Finances improved as Paul and Carol moved up in their careers - Paul was promoted to general, and Carol became a business tycoon. Then they both chose to change focus; Paul decided to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a scientist, while Carol thought it might be fun to be a chef. They were also delighted to hear that Alison had given them a granddaughter, Maria.

And Michael finally passed on. It probably hit Eric the hardest, since his grandfather had been his primary caregiver. Even so he managed to grow up well, and chose popularity for his aspiration - just like Grandpa and two out of three big brothers.

Michael - died in platinum.
Paul - reached top of military career.
Carol - reached top of business career.

House 5: The Lawrences. Week 1-4

After the death of their son Tom, elderly couple Zedekiah (knowledge) and Donna (romance) Lawrence struggled to raise their three grandsons - Derek, a fortune teen, Mark, a young child, and Jack, just a toddler. Somehow, they managed to squeeze beds enough into their small house, although it certainly wasn't easy.

Knowing full well how much their grandparents and big brother had struggled to give them a decent childhood, both Mark and Jack grew up focused on the importance of family. Derek and Jack were both very outgoing boys, demanding a lot of attention, while middle child Mark was shy and withdrawn. Despite this, it was Mark who was the first to find true love, in Grace Preston.

Oh, Derek had flirted with Deirdre O'Neill, and struck up a friendship with Andrea Hogan, but his primary interest was always making money. He even considered not going to college, in order to stay home and work to improve the family's finances, but his grandparents talked him out of that.

Jack fell in love with pretty store clerk Michelle Kearney, and they were soon going steady, just like Mark and Grace. All in all, life was pretty good for the Lawrence family, despite the lack of funds.

Mark left for college, and Derek surprised his family by bringing home a fiancée, Laura Ramirez. Donna was ecstatic to see him married - Derek had always secretly been her favorite. Sadly, she died soon afterwards, before the birth of her great-grandchild, Teresa.

Zedekiah did live long enough to meet her, but the Grim Reaper came for him shortly afterwards.

Jack joined Mark at college soon after the death of their grandfather, leaving fortune sims Derek and Laura to raise their daughter and work on their careers - Laura was in show business, while Derek spent some time as an artist before finding the job he'd always wanted, in athletics.

Hey, who says knowledge sims can't enjoy a bit of romance?

House 4: The Prestons. Week 1-4

Hope, female adult, popularity; Verity, female adult, knowledge; Hope's daughter Grace, child; Verity's son Byron, child.

Sisters Hope and Verity Preston, both single mothers, set up house together in Prosperity. Hope's boyfriend had taken off as soon as she told him she was pregnant, while Verity's fiancé had died in a car accident as he was on his way to their wedding.

With two adults in this family, there was at least some money coming in. Hope got a job in politics, while Verity found one in the science field. Grace and Byron went to school and made friends - Byron's best friend was Isabel Ramirez, while Grace spent a lot of time with Mark Lawrence.

Hope was busy making friends, too, and it wasn't long before she fell in love with Joe Carr. Their romance progressed quickly, and by the end of the first week they were engaged. As soon as Byron and Grace had turned into teenagers - he rolled romance, she popularity - Hope and Grace moved out to start a new life with Joe.

Byron immediately fell in love with Isabel, and had his very first kiss with her. Despite strong urges to see what it would be like to flirt with or kiss another girl, he managed to stay faithful; although he did sneak out at night with lots of different people - Isabel, Grace, Sophie Miguel...

Although Verity's first priority was always studying, she also had time to make a few friends, and soon after Hope and Grace moved out, she found herself constantly calling one of her best friends, Komei Tellerman. They spent a lot of time together, and eventually fell in love. By the time Byron left for college, she had strong suspicions that she was pregnant. As soon as she was sure, she asked Komei over to tell him the news. He happily moved in with her and they began to plan their wedding - but before it could take place, Verity came down with a mysterious disease after trying to invent a new medicine. Komei stayed in Byron's old bedroom, so he wouldn't catch anything, but when his daughter Faith was born, he simply couldn't stay away. Sure enough he caught Verity's illness, but fortunately she got better soon afterwards. However, they didn't manage to get married until Faith was almost old enough to start school.

Returning home from uni for his mother's wedding, Byron meets his little sister for the first time.

House 3: The Darnells. Week 1-4

Evelyn Darnell (female elder popularity sim) began her life in Prosperity alone, but it didn't take her very long to change that. She soon fell in love with Jan Tellerman (female adult romance townie), and it wasn't long before they were married. Soon afterwards, they adopted first one daughter, Christa, then a second, Mackenzie. Jan was a loving mother, but it soon became
obvious that it was more practical for her to work on her career as a chef, and for Evelyn to quit her job and stay home to take care of the girls - and spend the rest of her time on the phone, making friends.

The girls grew into children, then teenagers, all along doing very well in school. They were very close with both their mothers and each other.
Christa became a fortune teen, while Mackenzie just wanted a big family - at least half a dozen kids, she would say. They both got jobs - Christa in medicine, Mackenzie in law enforcement - although it wasn't necessary, financially speaking, as Jan had earned a bundle with her book on Asian cuisine, and then a venture into airport food.

Due to her intake of elixir, Evelyn lived long enough to see both her daughters grow into teenagers, and to fulfill her lifelong dream of having 20 best friends. But it couldn't last forever, and one day the Grim Reaper showed up to tell her it was time to leave this world. She was deeply mourned by her wife, daughters, and friends - although her family would soon be sick and tired of seeing her ghost.

Evelyn - fulfilled LTW, 20 best friends. Died in platinum, with top influence.
Jan - reached top of first career and fulfilled LTW, Celebrity Chef.

House 2: The Ramirez family. Week 1-4

The death of Maria Ramirez (place-holder) left her four children to manage on their own. Teenage twins Laura and Ricardo (both fortune sims) did their best to take care of their younger sister Isabel (child) and baby brother Gabriel (toddler). By carefully budgeting the money their mother had left them, they managed to build a small house, with one bedroom, a bathroom, and a small kitchen area. They took turns caring for Gabriel, who slept in the living room so he wouldn't wake up all his siblings with his crying, and only hired a nanny so they could go to school and keep their grades up.

Laura and Ricardo focused on school and getting part-time jobs, so they could at least afford to spend money on a few minor things, like flowerbeds. Isabel soon became fast friends with their neighbor Byron Preston (see House 4), and as soon as they grew into teens - Isabel rolled popularity - they had their very first kiss. Gabriel became a romance sim, but showed no interest at all in girls.

When the time came for Laura and Ricardo to go off to college, Isabel and Gabriel spent most of their time trying to make friends - well, when they weren't busy with school and work, that is. They did have to make a living for themselves, meager as it was. Isabel continued her relationship with Byron, while Gabriel finally found his first crush, Orlando Centowski.

At the same time that Isabel left for uni, Ricardo returned home with his fiancée Alison (Johnson). They were soon married and pursuing their chosen careers, Ricardo in athletics and Alison in science - although she did have to put that on hold for a while when she became pregnant. Maria, named for her grandmother, was born just before Gabriel left for university. Not long afterwards, Alison informed her husband that they were soon going to have another child.

Ricardo - reached top of first career and fulfilled LTW, Hall of Famer
Alison - reached top of first career and fulfilled LTW, Mad Scientist.
